reading list!

Following Jen’s lead, I have decided to post my summer reading list, mainly for the purpose of soliciting suggestions, as it is quite short at the moment:

The DaVinci Code, by Dan Brown (review to come soon)
Something Rotten, by Jasper Fforde
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, by Jonathan Safran Foer*
The Time Traveller’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger*
Me Talk Pretty One Day, by David Sedaris
The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver*

* = recommended by the fabulous Lucy, either via her blog or in conversation. Everyone is welcome to comment with other suggestions!

  1. Cloud Atlas Cloud Atlas Cloud Atlas Cloud Atlas!

Sorry I can’t help it; it’s my new favorite book

  2. Also:

Life of Pi by Yann Martel

  3. I got excited and thought Cloud Atlas was maybe a nonfiction book about clouds. I bought myself an actual nonfiction book about clouds today. It is called The Cloudspotter’s Guide and it is by the founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society and I am very pleased to have it because it is about clouds which I am a fan of and it is also very amusing which I am also a fan of.

  4. I can also recommend THE Cloud Atlas by Liam Callanan!
